If you want to work, settle, or apply for citizenship in Norway, you usually need to prove your Norwegian. For most people that proof is the Norskprøve, and the level that matters is B2. The exam tests four separate skills: reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Each one is scored on its own.

Most language apps are built for recognition. You tap the right word, you match the picture, you keep a streak alive. That feels productive, but it trains one narrow skill: recognizing vocabulary. The Norskprøve does not care whether you can recognize a word. It asks whether you can produce Norwegian under time pressure, in writing and out loud, the way the real exam does.

The exercises are gamified and use spaced repetition, so the things you get wrong come back until they stick. Timed mock exams put all four skills together under realistic conditions, so the format is familiar before it counts.

The piece that ties it together is an AI tutor that tracks your recurring mistakes. If you keep mixing up word order in subordinate clauses, or you lean on the same five verbs, it notices and pushes you on exactly that.
